Christmas Tree Awards 2007

This electronic Christmas tree in Madrid gets my vote for best Christmas tree this year.

Have a great Christmas and New Year. Let's hope 2008 finally brings us the hover car along with some other fantastic innovations.

You can't get these at Ikea!

I have come across some interesting furniture. Not the usual type of post I'd place on here but I was really intrigued by the uniqueness and multi use of the various items.

The wall type stretch seating could be used extremely cleverly in retail or bar environments or could create quite a stir at festivals as temporary seating.

For those of us not yet earning the big bucks and find ourselves living in poky little London flats, multi-purpose furniture could become rather popular. I'm not quite sure how practical this dashing yellow number is, but it certainly gets one thinking about the possibilities.

Finally, an extremely practical bed side table. Don't think this one needs explaining! Happy sleeping.

Bonjour, Hola, Salaam, Hallo, Shalom, Jambo!

Taking a slightly different perspective from the social networking sites of Facebook and Bebo, Vox Swop is a social network for learning languages.

You could almost compare it to the traditional pen pal type organisations which pair you up with people in different countries so you can put good old pen to paper in an attempt to receive an invite for a cheap holiday.

So rather spending your time looking through other people's photographs and tagging them at events you never attended (surely people you have better things to do with your time), Voxswop will match you up with people to make learning languages more fun as the best way to learn is to speak with natives.

Why did they waste all that money on that rubbish new striker you ask yourself? Well, My Football Club actually gives you, the football fan, the chance to buy a stake in a team and have a real say in how the club is run.

Samsung G800 - that sticky loving feeling

With the imminent a launch of Samsung's new G800 imaging handset, Samsung have created an interesting piece of viral activity claiming to have been produced entirely using their new product. A touching tale of how 2 lovers found their heart, it's almost a shame that it was produced for Samsung, rather than by a aspiring film maker.

The video has already had over 2 million views and is supported by ZoomInToSee, a not so user friendly microsite showcasing the making of the viral.

I guess the question is, will the viral 'stick' in the minds of the men and women when making their purchase?
